Karen Adler and Judith Fertig, fun-loving culinarians and friends from Kansas City, Missouri, have collectively authored more than twenty cookbooks, nine of which focus on the subject of barbecue and grilling, including Fish & Shellfish, Grilled & Smoked; The BBQ Queens’ Big Book of Barbecue; and Weeknight Grilling with the Barbecue Queens. They each hold Ph.B (Doctors of Barbecue Philosophy) degrees from Greasehouse University and are members of the prestigious culinary organizations Les Dames d’Escoffier and the International Association of Culinary Professionals.
